Creating Value.

Nork was born on our cattle farm. We found a way to process unused bread from local bakeries to be used as feed. It was a cost-effective way to manage our feed costs and use a product that would just be going to waste. Due to its success, we wanted to see if there was a demand in the market; after a lot of research, we knew we could produce a great product that meets the needs of farmers everywhere. At the time, there wasn’t any ‘off the shelf’ machinery that could keep up with demand. So, instead of letting that stop us, we designed our own. We officially began to offer farmers cost-effective feed solutions.

Nork started with a desire to feed livestock for less, but it soon became about more than that. As the next generation took over operations, we understood the importance of making a lasting impact, both socially and environmentally. At Nork, we invest our time and energy into developing products and services that reduce the environmental impact of farming and food practices. Our brand is focused on creating processes that will positively affect the world now and well into the future.

We repurpose other companies’ by-products and turn them into a high-quality feed additive. We aim to close the food waste gap in the food supply chain and are always looking to repurpose or recycle the waste found in our production cycle. It’s more than just a business, Nork is socially and environmentally conscious, with a focus on finding the value in what others consider waste.

Our Values.

Assured.

Sound farming and agricultural practices are not learned overnight, it takes years and sometimes generations to master. When it comes to feeding livestock, there has to be confidence in the product and assurance in the company supplying it.

At Nork, we work from our depth of experience. We understand the importance of good feed and a service that can be trusted. We don’t mistake confidence for ego, always learning from stakeholder feedback and adding to our knowledge. We’re proud of the products and services we offer, and any new offering goes through rigorous research and testing. What we do is not learned overnight.

Ingenuity.

There is truth to the adage, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel, but at some point, someone added the rubber. We live in an age where innovation seems to be the key to growth, but ingenuity is king.

At Nork, developing environmentally sustainable feed solutions is the foundation of our brand offering: and ingenuity is the vehicle to get us there. We are creative thinkers, with no challenge too difficult. We think outside the box, we aim to optimise current processes, products and services, and we look to innovate when the standard solution isn’t cutting it. We are adding rubber to the wheel.

Invested.

Some companies only see dollars and cents. They engage with their market purely to sell and do the bare minimum to keep their customers happy. They don’t invest back into their stakeholders, it’s merely a financial investment.

At Nork, our investment is more than financial: we invest our time into our stakeholders, our community and our staff - The Nork family! We’re focused on making a lasting impact in the world around us, and making a lasting impact only comes from investing time, energy and money into our products and services. We truly understand the needs of our stakeholders and are hands-on in finding feeding solutions that meet their needs whilst having a positive impact on the community and environment.

Regenerative.

It’s the responsibility of modern business to be socially and environmentally conscious; finding ways to reduce waste, ethically and sustainably source materials and put back into the production cycle.

At Nork, we repurpose others perceived waste and turn it into a high-quality feed. We aim to close the food waste gap in the food supply chain and are always looking to repurpose or recycle the waste found in our production cycle. It’s more than just a business, our brand is socially and environmentally conscious, with a focus on finding the value in what others consider waste.
